Our History:

The longest continuously operating charter school in the St. Vrain Valley School District, TPCA was established in the fall of 1997 by a group of dedicated parents who wanted a richer, more academically rigorous educational opportunity for their children.

Twin Peaks Charter Academy was first located at 820 Main Street in the historically significant building that housed the original Longmont High School and that has served as a school on and off since the 1920s. The iconic site helped establish TPCA as the premier charter school in Longmont and surrounding areas.

TPCA moved to 340 S. Sunset Street prior to the 2009-2010 school year. The new 80,000 square-foot facility, together with its exceptionally well-equipped art and music rooms, state-of-the-art science and computer labs, and abundant library/media resources, provided ample room for grades K-8 . The new gymnasium and commons area enhanced the entire education experience.

In the fall of 2011, TPCA added grades 9 and 10 and expanded the facilities to include the entire building.
