Welcome To Twin Peaks Charter Academy
Welcome to Twin Peaks Charter Academy. We are a public school of choice in the St. Vrain Valley School District. Our K–12 campus is conveniently located in the center of Longmont, Colorado. We pair a rigorous, content-rich curriculum with character education to help our students achieve the highest standards in academics and ethics.
Our highly successful, parent-governed charter school was established in the fall of 1997. Our founding families desired a richer, more rigorous educational opportunity for children compared to traditional district schools. Today, our fully funded and financially healthy school of over 1,000 students is governed by engaged and passionate parents. TPCA is the longest continuously operating charter school in the SVVSD.
Our elementary and middle school curriculums are founded on the principles of the nationally renowned Core Knowledge Sequence. Our high school students are offered full access to a college preparatory program using the framework of Classical Education. Our culture places a strong emphasis on student academics and achievement, character development, and parent involvement.
Our staff and faculty are highly qualified, talented, and motivated. To that end, we follow a rigorous and deliberative screening and hiring process. This approach results in a positive and cooperative environment, where faculty and staff set clear, high expectations for themselves and for students.
Our admissions policies ensure an equal opportunity for every student, regardless of income. Our admissions process is fair, open, and transparent.
We are a multi-year winner of the Colorado Department of Education’s John Irwin School of Excellence Award. Our students regularly achieve top scores in state tests and various other measures.
At TPCA, all students are known, valued, and challenged to be their personal best.
