Admissions

Twin Peaks Charter Academy is a public school of choice within the St. Vrain Valley School District (SVVSD) offering the Core Knowledge sequence for K-8th and a new college preparatory high school with Classical Education priorities. We are a state-funded school, founded, built and governed by our dedicated parents.

The High School opened for grade 9 in August, 2011 and will add another grade level each year, 9th – 12th until we reach a full four year program.  For the 2013-2014 school year, we are accepting enrollment applications for grades K-11.

Since we are a school of choice, serving the entire SVVSD, enrollment openings are filled from lists created each year through a public lottery held in January, and followed by waiting lists for each grade.  Please remember that participating in the lottery or providing an enrollment application is not a guarantee of enrollment.

Enrollment preference is given to current students and siblings, then to new students who live in the St. Vrain Valley district and then to out-of-district applicants.  Parents of currently enrolled students are required to annually re-enroll students for the upcoming school year and apply for new siblings, who have priority over the new enrollment applicants.   This is completed in mid-December through  mid-January of each school year for the coming year, before the Lottery sort is held. Remaining openings in all grades are filled with the enrollment application lists according to policy. See also Admission FAQ's linked below, "Admission Process" and “Admission Policies”.
