Dear TPCA Parents,
Welcome to the 2015-2016 school year! Your PTVO is excited to work with you this year to make this a fun, educational and unifying year for all of us. What is the PTVO? It is the new K-12 Parent Teacher Volunteer Organization, formerly known as the PTO and High School Boosters. We have combined to more accurately reflect our K-12 school. We are excited about this change and look forward to working across all grades to serve TPCA in a more effective way.
We have added positions to this new organization which include the customary President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and Vice Treasurer, but now also include Elementary, Middle School and High School Coordinators along with a Fundraising Coordinator. With these additional officer positions, we believe that we can better serve the school as a whole.
Did you know that if you are a parent or a guardian of a TPCA student, that you are already a member of the PTVO? As a member of the PTVO, please plan to attend our meetings on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00pm in the cafetorium. In order to make your child’s school experience the best it can be, we need your input and ideas, so please come!
As you may know, each family at TPCA is required to give 20 hours of volunteer time. Volunteering with the PTVO is a great way to accumulate hours. We have several fun events planned for the students this year and we need your help to make them happen. No experience is necessary, we will train you! By volunteering with the PTVO you will gain experience in leadership, event planning and organization. We also have a need for whatever skill you can offer whether it’s baking, shopping, building, decorating, recruiting, heading up an event or administrative tasks.
It is an honor to be able to serve our school community as the PTVO Board. We encourage you to get involved in the PTVO as well, and we look forward to working with you to make this a fun and memorable year!
