Now Enrolling for Before and After School Programs 2015–2016
(Aug. 18th through May 26th)
The YMCA at TPCA offers before and after-school care for children ages 5–12. This programs runs from 7:00 AM–8:00 AM and 3:00 PM–6:00 PM, Monday–Friday. The price of this varies with the registration type. The prices are available in the parent handbook below. For the first 45 minutes of every day, we provide a snack and homework assistance. This first part of our program is called "Focus Time" and if the children do not have homework, they must do a journal entry, activity page, reading, writing a poem, calm activity, etc. All program leaders make rounds to help the kids with their homework. After focus time, we have 30 minutes of physical activity, one hour of planned programming, and some time at the end for socializing and free-time.
Three enrollment options are available:
Full-time enrollment (5 days a week). This enrollment includes morning and afternoon care, Monday through Friday (7:00 AM–8:00 AM and 3:00 PM–6:00 PM), as well as all early release days (12:00 PM–6:00 PM) and professional development days (those days located at 950 Lashley St.).
Part-time enrollment (fewer than 5 days per week). This enrollment includes morning and afternoon care (7:00 AM–8:00 AM and 3:00 PM–6:00 PM).
Early release days. Care from 12:00 PM–6:00 PM. See the parent handbook for rates.
The YMCA provides a quality snack during morning and afternoon sessions.
There is a one-time $40 per family registration fee.
Licensing and CCAP
The YMCA at TPCA program is fully licensed and monitored by the State of Colorado. We are allowed to accept CCAP (Child Care Assistance Program). CCAP is available to the same people who would qualify for food stamps and/or free and reduced lunches. There may be a parent fee associated with CCAP. For more information on CCAP, please visit Boulder County CCAP.
If a student qualifies on our sliding scale, families can receive a 10–30% scholarship from the YMCA. The form is located below.
