2010 - Twin Peaks Charter Academy - School Supply Lists – 2011

TPCA has made an effort to reduce the amount of supplies to be provided by each student. From time to time, teachers may ask for individual donations during the school year.

*Due to spatial concerns, wheeled backpacks are discouraged*

School Supply List ordering option for "on the go," busy parents!

TPCA has joined with The Write Stuff, Inc. to provide parents with a
convenient and easy option for purchasing their child's school supplies
for the 2010-2011 school year. In addition to providing a convenient way
for parents to purchase school supplies, TPCA earns 5% back from each
order. This extra money will be used towards TPCA's uniform fund and
Positive Behavior Support (PBS) program. When you order your supplies
on-line they are shipped directly to your home. If you are interested in

Kindergarten

• Student backpack (no wheels) big enough to hold folders
• Four pocket folders with fasteners (red, green, yellow, blue)
• One box of thin washable Crayola markers (classic colors)
• One box 8 washable Crayola markers
• Three boxes 8 Crayola crayons
• Two boxes 16 or 24 Crayola crayons
• Two pink erasers
• Two packs #2 fat pencils—sharpened please
• Two packs #2 regular pencils—sharpened please
• One pair children’s Fiskar scissors
• Eight Elmer’s glue sticks
• Two Elmer’s jumbo size glue sticks
• One bottle Elmer’s glue
• One zipper pouch (3 hole-punched for binder)
• One 1⁄2” 3-ring binder
• One package of 4 dry-erase markers (BOYS—thin, GIRLS-thick/chisel tip)
• One box Ziploc bags (BOYS-snack or sandwich size, GIRLS-gallon size)

First Grade

• Four plastic pocket folders (red, blue, green, yellow)
• Twenty four #2 sharpened pencils (not mechanical)
• Two boxes crayons (48 or less)
• One box washable markers (8 pack classic colors)
• Two large pink erasers
• One pencil pouch or box
• Twelve glue sticks
• One bottle white glue
• One pair scissors
• Two boxes of tissues
• One pkg. disinfectant wipes

• One ruler (inches & metric) - You should also have one to keep at home.
• One pair children’s scissors
• One small box colored pencils, sharpened
• Three glue sticks
• One bottle of Elmer’s glue
• Seven two-pocket folders
• One 1” 3-ring binder

• One 12” ruler with centimeters
• Twelve #2 pencils with extra erasers
• One classic set colored pencils
• One box 24 crayons
• One classic set markers - thin
• Three highlighters (yellow, green, pink)
• Two pencil pouches (no boxes, gallon Ziploc bags work great too)
• One pair scissors - 3 inch, pointed tip
• Four glue sticks
• Personal water bottle (suggested)

• One set of 8-12 colored pencils (must fit in zipper bag)
• One pack of markers (set of 8)
• Highlighter set (pink, yellow, green, blue)
• Small zippered bag to store pencils/pens
• One plastic storage box with snap lid
• Four glue sticks
• One pair scissors
• One ruler with inches and centimeters
• One pencil sharpener
• One package of ruled (4 x 6) note cards

• Three dry-erase markers and a dry-erase board eraser
• Three 1-subject spiral notebooks
• Large spiral bound graph paper notebook
• Twelve #2 pencils (A mechanical pencil is acceptable with refill lead.)
• Two erasers
• Three red pens
• One set of 8-12 colored pencils (must fit in zipper bag)
• One pack markers (set of 8)
• 2 highlighters
• 3 glue sticks
• 1 package ruled index cards (3 X 5 size only)
• One plastic storage box with lid (approximately 12 inches L x 8 inches W x 4 inches H)
• Small zippered bag for storing pencils/pens
• One pair scissors
• Ruler with inch and cm markings
• Small, clear plastic protractor (small preferred)

• One box of tissues for homeroom
• 24 #2 pencils sharpened
• Five 1” to 2” 3-ring binders (one for each class)
• One pencil pouch to carry to class with the following:

               - One eraser (large or click)

               - Colored pencils

               - Blue or black pens

               - One red marking pen or pencil

               - Four highlighters (green, yellow, pink, blue)

               - One 12 inch ruler with inch and cm markings

• To be kept in locker and brought to class as needed:
