Innovation Center

Twin Peaks Families,

Twin Peaks High School is excited to announce that we are partnering with the Innovation Center to provide new opportunities for our students. The Innovation Center offers classes in Aeronautics, Bioscience, Cybersecurity, Entrepreneurship, Information & Communications Technology, Teaching, and Robotics. Some of the classes also include the opportunity for college credit. More information can be found on the Innovation Center website

Twin Peaks students or their families will need to provide transportation for themselves to and from the Innovation Center, which is less than ten minutes away from our campus. To participate in this opportunity, students must be on track to graduate and have a transportation plan. For a Freshman or Sophomore to participate, he or she must have A’s and B’s in all classes from the previous year.

We recommend that Freshmen and Sophomore students who are interested in this program complete as many core courses as possible to allow flexibility in their schedules as upperclassmen. All Twin Peaks High School students will also have the opportunity to participate in Summer Camps and Classes at the Innovation Center.

If you are interested in this opportunity, we encourage you to attend the Innovation Center’s Open House on December 6 from 4:00-7:00 at 33 Quail Rd. in Longmont. Starting on December 6 and continuing through February 4, students will have the opportunity to request Innovation Center classes through Academic Plan on Infinite Campus. As is the case for all high school students in the district, these requests are not a guarantee that you will attend the class. Instead, they help the Innovation Center determine their master schedule. Once their and our master schedules are finalized, the Innovation Center will provide a limited number of slots to each high school. Prioritizing seniors, we will use our schedule wizardry to set up schedules for our students.

We are very happy to connect our students with this opportunity. Please contact the Registrar at the Innovation Center, Socorro Marquez at marquez_socorro@svvsd.org, or me as questions arise.

Respectfully,

Rachel Cook

High School Assistant Principal
