Dear Twin Peaks Classical Academy community,
Board of Directors Election, Election Procedures & Call for Applicants
The Twin Peaks Classical Academy Board of Directors shall consist of five to seven voting members who shall be elected by TPCA parents of children enrolled at TPCA and who are themselves parents of children enrolled at the Academy. However, one to three members may be from the community at large, provided he or she resides within the St. Vrain Valley School District RE-1J. Nonetheless, at least four members must be TPCA parents of children enrolled at TPCA. All voting Board Members must sign a Board of Directors Member Agreement prior to serving. Only one Academy family member may serve on the Board at any given time. No voting member may receive remuneration for Board service.
The Board of Directors:
DIRECTS the future by defining and refining what the organization should accomplish, who it should serve and what ideals are to be maintained.
PROTECTS the organization by creating and monitoring boundaries in operational areas.
ENABLES the work of the organization by advocating for work through existing relationships and those they can create in the future, turning those relationships into resource development relationships and being disciplined in their role.
The Executive Director:
LEADS the organization into the future by providing visionary leadership to their staff and creating short and long term plans for accomplishing the direction established by the BoD.
MANAGES the organization in these same operational areas to ensure the work of the organization is accomplished and stays in compliance with the board’s protective boundaries.
ACCOMPLISHES the work of the organization in line with the board’s direction and in compliance with the board’s protection.
The members of the Twin Peaks Charter Academy Board of Directors will fully support our vision, guiding principles, and original founding philosophies located in our (Governance Manual). An Academy Board member supports and actively advocates the following:
Charter Schools specifically and School Choice generally
Classical Education and Core Knowledge
Ensuring a safe learning environment for all students.

2/12: Call for BOD Applicants
2/25: Application Deadline
2/27: Share BOD Applications with the TPCA Community
3/9, 8:15am: Candidate Forum - Coffee with the Candidates, If TPCA has more than 2 Candidates
3/11 & 3/12: Elections
Ballots and Ballot Boxes will be located in the Elementary and Secondary Lobbies, 7:30 AM until 3:30 PM.
Voting after 3:30 PM will take place in the Elementary Lobby until 7:00 PM on 3/12.
3/12: Counting will take place immediately after polls close on the second day; Executive Director & BOD Designee
The BOD Designee will relay the results to the BOD President3/13: Community Notification
BOD Officer Elections, Oath of Office & BOD Agreement Signature; 1st Meeting at BOD Retreat, will be held on June 6th, 2026

* If 14 days before the election, there is only one candidate for each position to be filled, the Board, by resolution, may instruct the designated election official to cancel the election and declare the candidate elected pursuant to state law.

Preschool and Elementary students will have class pictures taken on Thursday, 2/19 and Friday, 2/20. Only new Middle and High School students will have individual photos done. Students wear uniforms for these pictures. See below for the link to pre-order.

A Big Shoutout to the PTO, the PTO Grant Program, and to everyone who donated funds to the Timberwolf Trot. The donations have funded this state-of-the-art sound board that students will be using for years to come. Our performances out grew the old sound board, and now we have the capacity for 32 microphones! Here, we have our Crew Heads for the upcoming musical already preparing for the show. Thank you PTO!!!
