Tribute to Teachers!
One of our favorite events of the year is the Tribute to Teachers award celebration sponsored by St. Vrain Valley Schools Education Foundation. We love it because it recognizes and honors our outstanding teachers for their excellence in teaching.
Please help by nominating a Twin Peaks teacher who you believe exemplifies excellence for a Teacher of the Year Award. Do you know that there are many verses to "Mary Had a Little Lamb"?Mrs. Box and 3rd graders highlighted their Latin knowledge by singing all the verses in Latin!
Our High School Women's Basketball Team was up early this morning, helping Serve 6.8 break down their shelves and pack their boxes after their Christmas Season. Serve 6.8 is a non profit organization in Loveland providing presents throughout Colorado so all children can have a Merry Christmas.
Reminder! All students return to school on Monday, January 9th. Secondary students, please be sure to check and print your schedule. Monday will be a Green Day.
We've been busy getting some work done over break! Gym floors were both redone this week. You better mark your calendar for a home basketball game to check them out!

Men's and Women's basketball teams had a great weekend at the 2nd annual Twin Peaks Winter Classic tournament. Both teams played hard and came away with runner-up trophies. Way to go, Timberwolves! We're proud to be part of the Timberwolf Nation.
There will be a vision and hearing screening at Twin Peaks on Friday, 12/16. Your child(ren) may be on the list to be screened. Please encourage them to bring/wear their glasses to school this day. If our screening indicates that your student needs further evaluation, you will be notified by mail. Please contact Emily Carr, health clerk, if you have any questions or concerns.
When a 5th grade teacher visits 6th grade lunch! Mr. Guay was like a movie star today! Maybe we will host an autograph session next week.
