1st-5th Grade Back to School Night is Wednesday, August 27. This event provides time for classroom teachers to share valuable information about their class with parents. We ask that only parents/guardians attend. There are three sessions for those of you with multiple children:

Our modern physics class investigating the scientific process. The students were given segments from a book to try and determine what was happening, but just like in science, pieces of information were missing. Through more pages of the book being discovered and further investigation, students were able to better interpret what was happening in the story.

The Secondary History Team is already hard at work engaging our students in primary sources, content-rich discussions, and learning activities that help them to understand their own place and contributions to civilization. Middle School Volleyball and Cross Country begin practice tomorrow, Monday 8/18. 3:15 - 4:30

Elementary was rocking Green Pants Thursday on the first one of the school year!

Meet our fabulous Fourth Grade Team! They’ll be teaching topics such as the Middle Ages, The American Revolution, Geology, and much more! Sydnie Louderback (2nd year at Twin Peaks), Jen Zimmer (3rd year at Twin Peaks), and Heather Cobb (11th year at Twin Peaks).

Meet our wonderful Second Grade Team! They’ll be teaching topics such as the Ancient Greece, Insects, Fairytales, and many more! Melissa Tobias (19th year at Twin Peaks), Libby Heyl (2nd year at Twin Peaks), Julia Jennings (3rd year at Twin Peaks).

Twin Peaks will have a booth at the Kids Triathlon, sponsored by the City of Longmont, this Saturday, 8/16. If any Timberwolves are participating, stop by so we can celebrate your success!

Come join Booster Club this Friday at 8am in the cafetorium for our first meeting of the school year. Enter through either school office to get signed in. If you can't make the meeting, be sure to read the newsletter to find out what's going on with our student athletes.

We are happy to introduce Ms. Kiesewetter, who joins our Leadership team!

My name is Mrs. Sarah Kiesewetter, and I am delighted to join the Timberwolves as a Secondary Assistant Principal.

I was born and raised in Colorado (born in Vail), and spent much of my childhood hiking, camping, and stargazing in the beautiful Rocky Mountains. I attended a small classical high school in Wheatridge, CO, then moved to California where I attended Thomas Aquinas College, a classical Great Books school. I graduated with a Bachelor of Liberal Arts, and later completed a course through the University of West Florida to become a certified school teacher. I completed my Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership through the American College of Education in July of 2022, and am a professionally licensed Principal in the State of Colorado. I served as the Dean of the Grammar School at Golden View Classical Academy for three years, and taught there both as a Fifth Grade Teacher and an Eighth Grade Literature Teacher since 2015. This will be my 16th year as an educator, and I am thrilled to be joining Twin Peaks in my next chapter. I am excited to be a part of a school that offers so much to our students both academically and in moral development. The richness and beauty of the classical curriculum are unparalleled.

My husband and I met in college and have been married for 20 years. We have five beautiful children, one of whom attends CU Boulder and is studying Speech Pathology, and one of whom will begin Ft. Lewis in Durango to study Sports Medicine. The other three are still school-aged, and we’re excited to be a part of a new classical community.

In my spare time I love to read (My favorite book is Don Quixote by Miguel de Cervantes), spend time with my family, hike, and in the winter months my family and I take advantage of every opportunity that we can to snowboard in the beautiful Rocky Mountains. I am passionate about classical education for all students, and have made it my life’s work to provide the best books and the best ideas and conversation to anyone who seeks them. I love teaching and working with dedicated educators, and am committed to bringing my best every day.
